OFW's In Kuwait:Here is How We Can Help The Victims of Tropical Storm Ondoy

9:08 PM

Dear Kababayan’s in Kuwait,

As we are all aware by now, our motherland, the Philippines was struck by a historic typhoon last September 26, 2009 putting over 26 provinces under a state of calamity. As of September 28, 2009 the rising death tolls already reached 140 and there are people still missing and injured people in need of medical attention. The gravity of this disaster is prevalent all over the news and networking sites.

We are asking for your kind support in making sure that we provide immediate relief to the victims by donating in cash/ monetary. Monetary because as we all know it takes 45 to 60 days for a balikbayan box to reach the Philippines from here. Also, Red Cross is discouraging donation of old clothes as they have enough to go around.

These Filipinos were evacuated and displaced with the number of casualties ever growing to proportions unheard of in Metro Manila with whole towns engulfed by the floodwaters in mere hours. The onrushing water spared none. Both affluent and poor families displaced leaving whole communities in chaos and untold amounts of property damage.

With around 600 thousand of Filipino here in Kuwait, we want to ensure that our donations are guaranteed to go directly to the people and communities in dire need.

That is why, after pooling all our resources we are going to send it to 2 best helping center that we know:

Philippine National Red Cross
ABS – CBN Sagip Kapamilya

Everyone will be given a copy of the receipt and a heartful of thank you’s once it is sent. We are hoping to send it all by next week.

For inquiries and good deeds, kindly leave a message below and I will get back to you as soon as possible or contact Marissa Marquez Princeton # 66352910 and Lino Rosete # 66351100 of K Climb.

Thank you very much for all your support and let us once again relive the spirit of bayanihan and together let us try all our efforts to ensure that our families and friends get the support that our kababayans needs badly back home.

Kindly spread the word around your friends, family and colleagues.

Maraming maraming Salamat po!
