Where I Was And Other Weird 911 "Facts"

2:31 PM

An American co-worker asked me this question and got me to reminisce.

On September 11, 6 years before, I was still in college at my dormitory nursing a hang over. We came down to the cafeteria to eat our feast and first meal of the day that was TapSiLog and ice cold coke at 6 p.m when we saw the tragic news on TV. It was a live feed considering the time difference between where I was and the Twin Tower. Replays of planes hitting the building and the pentagon, Nostradamus predictions was exhumed and applied to explain the event and doomsday's to come.

My mother was already here in Kuwait and talk about impending war gave me sleepless nights for months in fear of her safety. I was one of those lucky ones who got television in her dorm room and so everyday for months, after school, I flop down on the floor, opened a can of spam and ate while channel surfing to see the updates until dawn.

As we all know, the updates wasn't pretty. Almost 3000 people died that day and the world changed in more ways than we're ready for.

That night, thousand miles away from ground zero, I felt the fear. I didn't want to experience war, I was OK with the world I live in - sans the corruption and occasional bombings in Mindanao of course. I was comfortable and took all the rebellion issues in stride. Estrada's trials and people power, eVATS and fluctuating peso was just daily news to me. Nothing that I was sure will affect me personally.

The 911, chilled and scared me to the bones though, it's as if I was there running all confused like everyone else. I knew from that day on, nothing is going to be the same again. People will be hiding behind the veneer of politics and religion. People will be a lot more paranoid than usual. The only good thing about 911 in my opinion is that it made the whole world aware of the evil that other people are capable of doing. It made all of us aware, a lot more ready and extra careful.

Like the OldOne said to me when he took the United Airlines (which was the hi-jacked plane on 911) last week to the US, that he will not hesitate to tackle down - bombs and all that - whoever tries to hi-jack the plane they're into.

Anyway, here are weird 911 "facts" that I read from my email

1) New York City has 11letters
2) Afghanistan has 11 letters.
3) Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist whothreatened todestroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11letters.
4) George W Bush has 11 letters.
5) The two twin towers make an "11"This could be a mere coincidence,

but this getsmore interesting:

1) New York is the 11th state.
2) The first plane crashing against theTwinTowerswas flight number11.
3) Flight 11 was carrying 92passengers. 9 + 2 =11
4) Flight 77 which also hit TwinTowers, wascarrying 65 passengers.6+5 = 11
5) The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11as itis now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11
6) The date is equal to the USemergencyservicestelephone number 911.9 + 1 + 1 = 11.

Sheer coincidence..?! Read on and makeup yourown mind:

1) The total number of victims insideall the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
2) September 11 is day number 254 ofthecalendar year.Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.
3) The Madrid bombing took place on3/11/2004. 3+ 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11.
4) The tragedy of Madrid happened 911daysafterthe Twin Towers incident.

Now this is where things get totally eerie:

The most recognized symbol for the US, after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamicholy book:
"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of theEagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."

That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

Disclaimer: I haven't done a back ground check of the "facts" in this forwarded email, so any questions and retaliations thrown at me will be useless.
